CMA Price List
Over the years we have seen the cost of funerals continue to rise, far more than the cost of living. As an independent funeral director we have worked hard to ensure that our funeral prices remain fair so that the funeral services we provide remain competitive.
We are confident in our charges and we have always been transparent about them too. We also believe that we charge for a professional service. We do not, nor have ever, hidden our fees nor advertised fees that are not correct nor complete.
Following a nationwide investigation by the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) a number of issues across the funeral industry were highlighted, culminating in the Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021.
Standardised Price List
We are required by law to display and have available to download, the following Standardised Price List. It provides details of our standard full price costs, along with the Third Party costs that can be incurred as part of a Funeral service. This document must be displayed and made available by every Funeral Director and can be used as a useful comparison to general pricing.
At Wallace Stuart we realise that managing funeral costs can seem daunting. We make sure everything is as transparant as possible for our clients. We give you a detailed breakdown of the costs involved and explain the various funeral options we provide. We never upsell our products nor make our families feel that a more affordable funeral seems second best.
In addition to the cost of your chosen funeral directors charges there will be other fees called “disbursements”. These are third party charges that the funeral director will pay on your behalf. The exception to this is our Direct Cremation and Burial Services which includes essential third party charges and these we have paid prior to the funeral service.
